A word of explanation:
Our family is planning to spend the next 2 - 3 months biking the Pacific Coast. This is something my husband has wanted to do for a while, so we have thought much about the how's and when's of the journey. The original plan was that I would drive along in a support vehicle with our children, taking side trips and homeschooling along the way, then meet up with him in the evening for dinner and camping. When the opportunity presented itself recently, I decided that I didn't want to miss out on this opportunity of a lifetime, so I invited the rest of us a long with him on our own bikes.
We left Houston, TX on Tuesday, August 26th and took our time getting up to Canada. After visiting family along the way and a bit of car trouble, we began biking on Thursday, September 4. This blog will chronicle our trip and all the adventures we encounter along the way. Feel free to join us.
